July 2nd 2010 Feline Frenzy - 2010 - A SUCCESS ! The SPCA is proud to announce that Feline Frenzy – 2010, which was held at the SPCA the 10th and 11th of July, was a huge success. 128 cats found new homes, 78 of them being cats 1 year and older. It goes without saying that this event helped us to save many lives. The SPCA was touched by the response of the public. Many visitors mentioned that they heard the SPCA talking about the overwhelming number of cats at the shelter due to moving day and that they wanted to help by adopting, and also benefit from the reduced adoption fees, to help give a second chance to a homeless cat. “We were so pleased with the number of people who came to adopt an older cat. We are extremely pleased with the results of this initiative and will certainly have other initiatives like this in the near future” stated Alanna Devine, Director of Animal Welfare. The SPCA would like to take this opportunity to thank the volunteers and employees who help made this even a great success and to thank all of the media outlets out helped to promote Feline Frenzy 2010. Thanks to all of you, 128 homeless cats have found new loving forever homes! |
