BON DIEU DANS LA RUE

In 1999 the SPCA worked with Father Emmett Johns ("Father Pop”) of Le Bon Dieu Dans La Rue and with agencies of the Federal Government to implement a program to help train young people living on the street. In this program the young people worked in various jobs, gaining valuable job experience and a degree of stability in their lives that allowed them to find permanent employment and get off of the streets.

After the great success of this program at the Montreal shelter, the program is now being repeated at our Laval shelter this year.
