Major achievements :

  • We founded a sterilisation clinic
  • We developed an educational programme ("45 Minutes to Change the World")
  • We lobbied before government authorities for the creation of legislation for the welfare and safety of animals in Quebec
  • We investigate cases of animal cruelty throughout the province of Quebec
  • We have helped find new homes for an average of 18,000 animals each year

Recent Interventions :

  • We helped save 500 animals during the ice storm of 1998.
  • We helped save 120 animals when the Saguenay region was flooded.
  • We succeeded in having euthanasia by electrocution abolished in Drummondville in 1999.
  • We sterilise all animals put up for adoption at the S.P.C.A.
  • We succeeded in having euthanasia by shotgun abolished in Mirabel in 2001.
  • We rescued 160 animals in Ste-Sophie in 2001.
  • We often seize and treat abused and exploited animals.
